About the department

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Assistant Commercial Accountant to join our ever-growing Finance team situated in our Bromborough Head Office. Working to support our Commercial Accountant to produce vital insights in to the business performance to help influence crucial business decisions. To also assist with monthly management reports and assist in the improvement of the finance function.

Role responsibilities:

  • Prepare weekly/daily Sales Margin Reports, and present findings to the owners and directors of the business
  • Prepare monthly CPU pack and reconcile to accounts
  • Assist in developing new KPI reports that will help inform key business decisions
  • Support the Commercial Accountant in creating new monthly reporting packs that can be distributed to key stakeholders.
  • Help develop financial plans and forecasts based on assumptions gathered from key business stakeholders
  • Review weekly and monthly Sales Analysis
  • Prepare data for KPI measurements
  • Analyse weekly refunds whilst identifying trends
  • Variance analysis and investigation
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting
  • Help identify process improvements and actively be involved with change management
  • Liaise with and provide support to Commercial Accountant and Finance Director as required
  • Preparation of ‘Daily Sales’ board pack


Essential experience, skills and knowledge:

  • Minimum 1 years’ experience as accountant in a fast paced environment, ideally in ecommerce
  • Analytical, with detailed experience of working with large volumes of data
  • Currently studying or beginning to become a qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
  • Excellent IT skills (Office tools)
  • 'Expert'  Excel user
  • Diligent
  • Adaptable to change
  • Takes pride in their work
  • Self-starter who takes initiative to develop new ways of reporting or analysing data.
  • Good communication skills

The role

  • Full time/ Permanent (Monday- Friday 9am-5.30pm)
  • Location: Bromborough
  • Salary: up to £30,000 DOE
